It is with extreme sadness that our family announces the unexpected passing of Tyler, on Saturday March 11th, 2023, too soon at the age of 33. Tyler will be greatly missed by his mother, Sandy Hamilton (Byron) and father, Barry Bryk (Nicole) who will forever grieve the unbearable loss of their son, his sister, Kaylee (Christopher) who will always cherish the memory of her only sibling and will miss him dearly. He is survived by his grandma and grandpa Steve and Joyce Bryk. His spirit and love for life lives on in his niece and nephews, Carter (10), Logan (9), and Emily (3).

Tyler is now reunited with his Nana and Papa Allan and Jean Knight, nephew Kaysen, and many aunts and uncles, and of course, Sadie, his canine best friend that never left his side. He was loved and cherished by all his extended family and friends.

Tyler was born in Winnipeg and raised in St. Adolphe, which he lived for most of his childhood life. He attended St. Adolphe School from kindergarten to grade 8. Most of his kindergarten year was spent in and out of the children’s hospital, having gone through 2 brain surgeries by the age of 6. Despite the surgeries, that didn’t stop Tyler from being the rambunctious boy that he was.

He had a love for all sports but had a true passion for baseball. He played short-stop for many years for different AAA baseball teams in the south east. This brought his family to various towns all over Manitoba to watch him play in multiple play-off and championship games. He would climb trees (even though he really shouldn’t have), played soccer in the backyard, going for bike rides, and of course beating up his big sister. He was a strong, courageous, funny kid that knew how to light up any room.

He acquired most of his friends in St. Adolphe before moving onto St Norbert collegiate from grades 9-12 where he graduated in 2007. Tyler continued his life with a few special lifelong friends from high school that will forever miss his presence.

After graduation, Tyler decided to continue his working career as a dock worker for a few different trucking companies including Reimer and TST. He loved what he did and took pride in the work that he accomplished.

Tyler had a passion for sports and video games, a love for all dogs, (including Whopper, a beautiful cane Corso / mastiff boy, that will miss him dearly) and was known to attend any house/event with a bag of candy in his pocket to share.

Our family was not expecting the loss of Tyler or for his life to be cut so short, so soon. We are devastated by this loss and will feel the absence of him forever. Tyler was the sweetest, kindest, most loving soul, that loved and cherished his family to no end. He was an absolute joy to be around and will be forever missed.

The family will be planning a summertime Celebration of Life gathering in 2023 and will extend invites to close family and friends as details are set.
