Romeo Leano Intalan

July 1, 1940 - March 31, 2024

Romeo (Romy) Leaño Intalan passed away suddenly on March 31, 2024 at 9:10 a.m. at Grace Hospital, at the age of 83.

Romeo was predeceased by his parents, Conrado and Antonia Intalan; his siblings, Leonardo Intalan, Concordia Corral, Benedicto Intalan, Manuelito Intalan and Ronaldo Intalan; and his daughter Evelyn Bautista.

Romeo is lovingly remembered by his wife, Elvira Intalan; his children, Alberto Intalan (Merla), Beth Pablo (Arnel); and his grandchildren, Em Bautista, Nico Pablo, Justin Pablo, Arbee Pablo, Aila Intalan, Ailene Intalan; and his siblings, Edgardo Intalan and Elena Garcia.

Romeo was born on July 1, 1940 and raised in Mandaluyong, Philippines. It was there where he met and married his wife, Elvira, on October 8, 1961, and had been happily married ever since. Romeo immigrated to Canada in 2006 to spend more time with his daughter and grandchildren.

Romeo was kind and hard-working. He made sure family was always taken care of. Romeo was a carpenter by trade and was always happy to help family with projects. At all times, he liked to keep himself busy; if anything needed to get done, he would always take the initiative. Romeo has instilled in his family the importance of taking care of each other, having a solid work ethic and a drive to get things done well. His warm, steadfast presence will be missed.

The family would like to thank everyone who provided support and prayers throughout this difficult time.

A lamay will be held on Friday May 10, 2024 at 6:00 pm to 12:00 am at West St. Paul Crematorium and Funeral Home, 92 Merit Cres. West St. Paul. A funeral mass will follow on Saturday May 11, 2024 at 1:15 pm at Petrus Hall, 2624 Inkster Blvd.

Cremation will follow, and has been entrusted to Branch & Pyre Cremation Care.
