Lisa-Anne Marie Stewart

July 26, 1984 - February 14, 2024

Lisa-Anne Marie Stewart passed away suddenly on February 14th, 2024, in her home, at the age of 39 years. Lisa was a vibrant soul who graced this world with her warmth, laughter, and boundless love. Born on July 26th, 1984, she went through life with an infectious energy that lit up any room she walked in, touching the hearts of all those fortunate enough to know her.

Lisa was born and raised in Winnipeg and her journey through life was woven with laughter, love, and the engulfing aroma of her culinary creations. Known widely and affectionately as “Lunch Lady Lisa” at St. Maurice School, she not only put her heart into every meal she prepared, but she also served up big doses of wisdom, kindness, and generosity of spirit. Her presence in the school was a beacon of joy, and she willingly helped wherever she could.

A true matriarch, Lisa was not only a devoted mother to her cherished children, Samantha, Julius, Damien, Harleigh, and John, but also an unwavering pillar of love for her sisters, brothers, and her niece Ava. Lisa was an anchor of support to all and was loved by the fathers of her children, and her adoptive and biological families. The ongoing joke was that her house on Jubilee was a group home, where all who crossed the threshold were embraced with open arms as if they were her own.

Lisa’s laughter resonated through every corner of her life, and her brand of humour was luminary in times of joy and solace in times of sorrow. She loved nature and creating spaces with a calm and peaceful aura like her beloved garden. Her legacy continues through her family, friends, and the broader community she so deeply touched. Lisa elevated every occasion with thoughtfully curated decorations, engaging activities, delightful food, and a generous dose of love. The emptiness in the world left by her departure is immeasurable, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of sharing in her love.

As we remember Lisa, let us celebrate the countless moments of joy she gifted us, and may her spirit continue to inspire us to live with the same passion, kindness, and zest for life that she so beautifully exemplified. In the tapestry of our lives, Lisa’s thread will forever remain vibrant and unforgettable.

The family especially thanks St. Maurice School for the ongoing support and for making her Celebration of Life special.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Saint Vital Parish Church (adjacent to St Maurice School) at 1629 Pembina Hwy. with Father Wayne presiding.

Flowers gratefully declined. If friends and family so desire, a GoFundMe page has been set up in support of Lisa's children https://gofund.me/3bf5e423 .
