Kenneth Francis Villeneuve

August 27, 1953 - April 14, 2024

Kenneth Francis Villeneuve Passed away suddenly on April 14, 2024 at Health Sciences Center at the age of 70 years.

Ken was predeceased by his Father Jack and 4 siblings Clifford, Brian David and Laverne.

Ken is survived by his loving mother Doreen, his partner Cindy with her 2 daughters, his 6 children Ashley, Evan with spouse Iris, Faith, Tandi with spouse Steve, Joshua with spouse Sammy, and youngest Clifford. Along with his children he leaves a great many who knew him as a Dad. He also leaves behind his 8 grandchildren, his brothers Evan (Laurie), Terry and Kim, sister Val; and many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Born and raised in the Kamsack/Pelly Saskatchewan area. Ken later settled in Winnipeg where he began a long career as a Licensed Petroleum Technician and made a name for himself in the workplace all across western Canada. He raised a family of six in Winnipeg as well as a short period in Saskatoon. Ken was not only a father to his own children, but was a father figure/mentor in life to so many in the community by taking them under his wing and even housing and feeding nieces and nephews in times of need.

Ken was the kind of neighbour you knew you could rely on and was always community minded. In his early years with his children and often the neighbourhood kids too, Ken would spend the Christmas season delivering hampers of Hope to many families less fortunate. Helping others brought great joy to Ken. His favorite past times were watching hockey, working on and fixing cars and other devices when others would give up on them and visiting with others.

Ken had a way of looking at life and wanting to see the good in all people and making lives better. His demeanor was “ if you can’t find a way, make a way”

The family especially thanks the following: Branch and Pyre Cremation Care, and the devoted Nurse Joe at HSC Intensive Care Unit.
