Harold Armstrong Simpson

February 26, 1958 - May 16, 2023

It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the passing of Harold "OJ" Armstrong Simpson, on May 16rth, 2023 of Winnipeg Manitoba at the age of 65. OJ passed away peacefully in his sleep, after being ill however was still in search of the cause of his pain.

OJ was born February 26thm 1958 in Oshawa, Ontario to Doreen Wanamaker Simpson and Derek Simpson. OJ is survived by five children; he leaves behind three sons, Matthew (Amy), Mark (Justyna) and Jacob, as well as two daughters, Samantha and Rebecca and two granddaughters, Ella and Leah.

There wasn't a day that passed, that OJ wasn't proud of all his children for having unique and inspiring personalities and was found talking about them every day. He knew he was a very lucky man to have such wonderful kids thanks to their mother’s love.

OJ will also be missed and lovingly remembered by his sister Suzanne, Brother-In Law Gary and Niece Lisa as well as Nephews, Derek and Dean, whom he loved so dearly. OJ was loved by wonderful close friends he spoke with almost daily as well as had other amazing friendships across Canada that will mourn the loss of this wonderful man.

A known storyteller, OJ was almost always found wearing a cowboy hat with his denim shirt and jeans. He loved his career as a carpenter and even after retirement filled his life with all different, unique, and fun woodworking projects.  OJ, loved a good joke, was funny and loved to sit around sharing jokes with loved ones. He was very kind and generous to everyone he met, and his place was homebase for everyone he loved.

Dad, OJ, Brother, friend... you will be deeply missed! Love you!

We will be celebrating and honoring OJ Simpson on Saturday June 3rd at 12- 4pm

at 22-30 Windmill way (his home) for the Grand Opening and closing of The Lounge.
