Donna Mae Creighton

January 30, 1951 - February 21, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Creighton, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She passed away peacefully at the age of 74 at her son’s home, surrounded by her loving children.

Donna was born in Winnipeg on January 30, 1951, to Kay and Allan Sims where she grew up alongside her three brothers, forming lifelong bonds with her family.

Donna’s greatest joy in life was being a mother. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her children. Her love for them was immeasurable, and she cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was family gatherings, or simply spending quiet time one on one together.

Donna had a special love for Christmas, when the home was filled with warmth, laughter, music, and the delicious scents of her homemade baking. Donna’s Christmas goodies were always a highlight of the season, a tradition she passed on to her daughter over the years. She made sure that her family and friends were surrounded by love and comfort during this time of year.

Donna also had a deep appreciation for the music of the past, especially the timeless oldies. She loved to dance, sing, and be silly. Her playful spirit had a unique way of lighting up a room. She knew how to make the best of every moment, filling her family’s life with laughter and joy. She truly had a beautiful soul.

In addition to her role as a loving mother, Donna enjoyed playing bingo and treasured the friendships she made through this pastime. Her warm and generous heart made her a beloved presence in the lives of all who knew her.

Donna was predeceased by her mother Katherine, father Allan, and the father of her children Dave.

She leaves behind, her brothers, Larry (Sharen), Ken (Cathy), and Russ. Her children, Mike (Veronica), Chad (Jeannie), Matt (Sarah) and Kellie (Mitch). Her beloved grandchildren, Kay-Lynn, Sophie, Max, Sam, Will, and Sullivan. And many extended family members who will miss her dearly.

Mom, we are truly blessed that we got to call you mom. We couldn’t have asked for a more loving, caring, and wonderful person to guide us.  We love you so, so much.

A celebration of life will be held this summer.
