John Lewis Coyne
November 13, 1957 - February 3, 2023
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather John Coyne at the age of 65 years.
John was predeceased by his parents Mary Jane and John and brother George.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Mandy, Grandchildren Salynna, Trey and Ayva. Son Craig, Grandchildren Aiselinn, Duncan, Meghan, John and Bridie, Great Grandchildren Atticus and Elias. Siblings Max, Candace, Olga, Bill, Wally, and their families as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
John was born in Gimli, MB. but grew up in Winnipeg. He was a true "Northender" attending Luxton School and St. John's High School.
John had a wicked sense of humour and a very outgoing personality, making friends wherever he went, whether it was his co-workers, the people he met driving a truck, the clerk at his favourite grocery store or his back lane buddy, he would always take the time to stop and chat.
And boy did he love his sports, especially NASCAR, F1 and any other car race, watching or recording them all. Everyone knew if a race was on, better not disturb Dad! John also enjoyed dinners out, garage parties or coffee at the North End Sal's with life-long friends.
But the best times were the times he spent with his children and grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to John's "work" family at Core-Mark International for all their continued care and support and also to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital.
In keeping with John's wishes no service will be held and Cremation has taken place.
