Gail Irene McDougall

August 25, 1953 - November 4, 2024

Passed away peacefully with family by her side on November 4th, 2024 at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 71 years.

She was predeceased by her father Leonide, her mother Edna and her sister Donna.

Gail is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by her children, Warren (Leanne) and Bryan; grandchild, Brooklyn who made her so proud to be a Grandma.

She also leaves her brother, Keith and her nieces, Allison, Lauren and Heather.

Gail was born and raised in Winnipeg, where she spent most of her life.  Gail did different jobs as a young teen and adult.  Gail most enjoyed her time spent at Sobey’s on Dakota where she made many special friends and loved interacting with the regulars that came into the store, some just to see her.

Gail’s son Warren and his family returned to Winnipeg in 2018 to be closer to Gail.  Gail really enjoyed being a grandmother, and with family being close it gave them all an opportunity to create a lot of wonderful memories which they will all cherish.

After Gail retired, her time was spent with her family and her granddaughter whom she loved very much.  Visiting friends, especially her best friend Helen whom she used to spend everyday on the phone with, their friendship is something that was very special to Gail.

Gail touched a lot of lives and will be truly missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her.  You will be in our hearts forever and we will miss you everyday.  Rest in Peace.
