Eugene “Gene” Charles Keenan

September 7, 1950 - November 4, 2023

Peacefully, with his wife by his side, Eugene, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away. His suffering is finally over and he can finally be at rest.

In his 73 years, he left his mark on the people who he loved and who loved him. Gene and Peggy celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this year. Left to mourn are their daughter Danielle and son Matthew (and family). His sons Michael, Martin, and daughter Dallas, along with their spouses and children, are all mourning and cherishing the times they had together over the years as a blended family. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his family, whom he loved fiercely.

We would like to thank all of those who helped ensure Gene could remain at home as much as possible, including Claude St. Germain, his brother-in-law and friend, who spent a lot of time with the family in Winnipeg.

He also leaves behind 3 sisters and 6 brothers, as well as multiple sisters- and brothers-in-law. He was predeceased by his brothers Johnny, Jimmy, and Charlie.

Cremation has already taken place and the family thanks Branch and Pyre for their thoughtful help throughout this difficult time.
