Beverley Dawn Elliott

March 5, 1929 - January 18, 2023

Beverley passed away peacefully on January 18, 2023 at the Riverview Health Center at the age of 93 years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Delbert Elliott and daughter, Donna Torlen. Beverley is survived by her children Deborah Elliott, Dana (Elaine) Elliott and Randy (Trish) Elliott, her son in law Ole Torlen, her brother Byron (Jan) Kimball, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren whom she loved and who loved her.

Beverley was born in Coderre, Saskatchewan to parents Owen and Evelyn Kimball.   Beverley was one of 5 children and the only girl in the crew.  She was raised in Saskatchewan, and it was in Rockglen that she met Delbert and they married on November 23, 1946.

Delbert’s career took them to Regina, back to Rockglen, to Estevan, back to Regina, to London, Ontario, back to Regina and finally to Winnipeg. It was no wonder she was the queen of packing up their worldly possessions.  All of the locations quickly became home for the entire family under Beverley’s watchful and gentle touch.

In Winnipeg, with the kids safely out the door, Beverley started a career at Eaton’s department store in downtown Winnipeg.   She enjoyed many years as a successful salesperson.

With retirement the focus for Bev turned to grandchildren and the cottage at Hillside Beach on Lake Winnipeg.  She also had time to go on some amazing trips by Motorhome with Byron and Jan, including the Maritimes and Northern Canada.

Beverley was a loving Mother and Grandmother whose love and support were unconditional.

Memories

“I loved she found a new hobby late in life and took up wine tasting!”
  Randy

“Wednesday dinners out, sometimes the two of us, but the best ones with Tyler and Ashley.
With a martini to start, also very good.”
Dana

“Manitoba Theatre Center with Mom and Donna, always proceeding the show with two martinis and dinner.  We were known at the restaurant as “The Martini Ladies” and we were proud of it!”
Deborah

Beverley will be remembered and missed by all.  Rest well Mama.
